    2020 Walks Programme

    General

All walks start at 10am unless otherwise stated and are generally finished by 4pm. Most of the walks are within Hertfordshire but from time to time we stray into one of our neighbouring counties. The current walks programme is given below. Although we usually try to include a pub stop for lunch, and the walk leader will have checked it out beforehand, it does happen that pubs change hands, so we can not guarantee that the chosen pubs will still be serving food by the time of the walk. We include details of the lunchtime stop, so that anyone who doesn't want to walk the full distance can either join or leave the main group at lunchtime.

All are welcome on these walks (but no dogs please) and we would recommend that you join The Friends in order to be covered by our group insurance

Children and vulnerable adults must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

As these walks are planned several months in advance and there could be a late change it is suggested that walkers contact the leader closer to the scheduled date.

Please remember: whenever you have to leave your car in a residential area, park it with due consideration for those who live there.

    Hertfordshire Way Linear Walks

For those of you who have not walked any of the legs of the Hertfordshire Way or simply want to revisit them, David and Thelma Kealey organise separate walks which are included in this programme. These walks are in addition to our regular monthly walks and only take place during the summer months. As these require some co-ordinating to arrange car-share and car-shuffling, you need to contact Thelma and David if you intend to take part and you will need to be a member of The Friends so we can use your email for contact (GDPR requirement)
