Friends of The Hertfordshire Way

Welcome to the website of The Hertfordshire Way, the 194 mile trail through the rural county of Hertfordshire.

The Friends of The Hertfordshire Way is a voluntary organisation whose members act to promote and maintain the route. We keep a regular check on the condition of the paths, stiles and kissing gates, as well as the way-mark signs, replacing damaged signs as necessary. We also publicise the Hertfordshire Way to encourage other walkers to enjoy this most attractive county. If you would like to join the Friends of The Hertfordshire Way (annual membership £5 single, £7 family), please print off the form available here and return by post to the address provided.

If you encounter any problems with public rights-of-way along the route, please let us know by either email or in writting by using the contact details below. We will either deal with these problems ourselves or bring them to the attention of the appropriate Rights-of-Way Officer in the County Council's Environment Department.
